Love, what exactly is it and how does it happen. Is it predestined, is it a matter of choice or is it just a response to raw emotion or lust? How many different types of love do you think exist? Platonic? Physical? Spiritual etc.

It's something that develops and grows, and also can shrink as well if not attending to. Love is not predestined that is for sure...but it can appear out of no where and happen anywhere.

And there are different types of love..romantic...friendship..

I think it is VERY rare for people to find someone who matches them so completely - in all areas. I've been incredibly lucky to find such a person, and I fell in love with them once I realized they matched me on all values, and all philosophy. Since that time, obviously, the love has grown and deepened the more time passes. Simply because I see more depth and more richness and more compatibility with said person.
Personally, for me, it's a logical process. I have never been in love with someone who was "wrong" for me. I have never been in love with someone who did not match me in values and philosophy. I have never even felt attracted to people who didn't match me in those areas.
Always, emotions have followed my intellect. Never the other way around. So, for me, it was always a choice. Never predestined, or anything like that.
